Moving...is not for sissies

July 5th, I got in my car and headed east. Most of my earthly possessions in are crammed in...save for my trust companion, Finley, who is now under the custody of my mom. After doing the long-distance thing for 1 1/2 years, I was going to work with Dan in the oil and gas field. I be headed to central Indiana for initial training. Our trip to Indiana, which I've dubbed the "2 Days o' Love 'n Fun" landed me in Sullivan, Indiana which was quite the culture shock. I never really had any impression of Indiana, other than its just "there". Sullivan might as well be Kentucky or some other southern state. Kinda Bubba. The people for the most part are friendly but a little different. The courthouse I was working in had the token creepy guy in the basement...I kid you not. I went down there one afternoon to find the will for someone and there is a regular looking guy at a desk. My coworker soon tells me that this guy, Ross, had a lobotomy and likes to stalk women and not to come down to the basement alone. Super!

I was staying in a Days Inn that was run/cleaned/operated by a seriously shady/lazy crew. After my first few days, I realized that my room was more than a little damp and it appeared that some mold was growing in the bathroom. Okay. A little skeezy but a little mold never hurt anyone. Ha! That "little mold" started growing at an exponential rate and soon was taking over the walls and ceiling in the bathroom.
And then it started making my asthma act up. So I moved to the next town over for a couple days and just yesterday, was sent to Columbus, Ohio with Dan to do some lease work. And this afternoon, we found out that we apparently are being sent to Pennsylvania for the foreseeable future. I'm up for it. This job is great to do while I don't have any real responsibilities, like kids, and I'll be able to pay off all my debt. An adult without debt...sign me up!
So now I'm sitting in my hotel room in Ohio, catching up on some emails before I pack up the ole Jeep and head east to Pennsylvania!
