Sex and the City movie is muy fabuloso!
It's only appropriate that I write about the fabulous Sex and the City movie in pink font. I have been a devotee of these 4 women's lives since about 5 years ago. At the time, the show was all the rage and I soon became one of those addicted to the show. I mean, seriously addicted. My life was planned around the exploits of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte. Previous seasons were rented and I was soon caught up on Big, the Rabbit, and being broken up with via Post-it.
I remember exactly where I was when I watched the series finale. It couldn't be! It was the end of an era. Much like when Friends ended. Now what was I going to watch?!? The rumors of a movie soon gave way to fact and I was marking my calendar for the joyous day when women around the world united in their love of Manolo's and Cosmopolitans.
A girls night was planned and we trekked downtown for some pre-movie martinis and the movie. How could you not have martinis before watching these fine ladies reunite for our viewing pleasure? I had a Dreamsicle martini (think orange creamsicle ice cream pop), followed by a canteloupe martini, complete with a speared melon ball. 
Heading into the theater, I've never seen so many chicks in my life. There were a few guys there; most dragged there involuntarily by their significant others and the rest were of the finely dressed, hip-swishing persuasion. These latter men could really appreciate Carrie the way she should be!

These latter men could really appreciate Carrie the way she should be!It was 2 and a half hours of story lines we knew, people we loved, and I left thinking it was so worth the wait. The movie was great! Of all the bad reviews I read, they were all written by men. Of course a (straight) man isn't going to like a storyline that doesn't revolve around guns, cars, and Angelina Jolie! And why should they? SATC has a following all its own. So my advice to the men out there, don't try to ruin it for us ladies when there are so few movies made just for us. And ladies, if you haven't seen it, get your behind into a theater pronto!
